TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GLOBAL ONE SECURITY & INVESTIGATIONS, INC., FOR UNIFORMED ARMED SECURITY DURING THE MAINTENANCE OF THE GAHANNA WOODS WATER TOWER; IMPROVEMENT NO. 803; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, maintenance must be performed on the Gahanna Woods
Water Tower; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that the area around the water tower be kept secure at all times during this maintenance, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with GLOBAL ONE SECURITY & INVESTIGATIONS, INC., 2234 South Hamilton Road, Suite 102, Columbus, Ohio 43232, for uniformed armed security during maintenance on the Gahanna Woods Water Tower at $17.00 an hour.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($7,650) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations to Account No. 652.351.5596, Miscellaneous Water Improvement, to cover the herein cost.
Section 3. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
