TO HONOR DAVID B EARLEY

WHEREAS, DAVID B. EARLEY started New Life Community Baptist Church in July, 1985 and has seen it grow to a weekly attendance of over 900; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. EARLEY, led 15 local churches in the Jesus Video Project during the spring of 1997, giving out over 8,000 free videos to the community and helped to coordinate City wide days of prayer during the year prior to distribution of the video; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. EARLEY, has coached for over 7 years in community baseball and basketball leagues; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. EARLEY, received an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia on May 8, 1998 in honor of this achievements in Church planning and growth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, do hereby honor and commend David B. Earley for his dedicated performance to duty and recognizes his outstanding leadership to New Life Community Baptist Church.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately from and after its passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
