WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Administration that it is desirable to continue our contract with North Central Mental Health Services, Inc., for the Juvenile Court Diversion Program; and

 

WHEREAS, the existing contract expired in April and it is imperative to move forward as quickly as possible in order to maintain the services for this program, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with North Central Mental Health Services, Inc. to provide services to the Juvenile Court Diversion Program, said contract attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part hereof.

 

Section 2.  That the amount of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000) has been appropriated in the 2006 appropriations to account number 101.151.5409, Mayors Court, Juvenile Diversion Program, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That second reading is hereby waived.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons stated in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
