TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH JESS HOWARD ELECTRIC COMPANY TO PROVIDE UNDERGROUND ELECTRIC SERVICE TO THE HARRISON POND PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE, IMPROVEMENT NO. 804; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the Harrison Pond Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) is completed and the SCADA system needs to be installed for monitoring the system; and
WHEREAS, electric service must be run underground to the PRV; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed immediately all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Jess Howard Electric, 6630 Taylor Road, Blacklick, Ohio 43004, for installation of underground electrical service to the Harrison Pond PRV, Imp. No. 804, in accordance proposal attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of Seven Thousand Three Hundred Thirty Dollars ($7,330) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations to Account No. 652.351.5595, PRV, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
