TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH CHARGEUP, LLC, 2862 BUFORD HIGHWAY, SUITE 105, DULUTH, GA, 30096, FOR CREEKSIDE PARKING GARAGE ELECTRIC CHARGING STATION PROJECT ADMINISTRATION AND NISSAN NORTH AMERICA GRANT COORDINATION; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna will increase business attraction by providing re-charging opportunities to owners of electronic vehicles through cutting edge technology that will enrich the Creekside area.
WHEREAS, Nissan North America is offering an electric vehicle charging station grant; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with the legislation to ensure alignment with all grant deadlines, and all for the preservation of the peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with ChargeUp LLC, 2862 Suite 105, Duluth, GA 30096, for Creekside parking garage electric charging station project administration and Nissan North America grant coordination; Agreement attached EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
