WHEREAS, letter quote was received April 4, 2000 for proposal for preliminary design work for the US Route 62 at Morse Road Intersection, and the City Engineer has recommended that we accept such proposal; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to proceed with this agreement at the earliest possible date due to the current construction season, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with MOODY/NOLAN LTD., INC., 1776 East Broad Street, Columbus Ohio 43203, for preliminary design engineering of the US Route 62 at Morse Road Intersection, in accordance with city specifications.
Section 2. That to cover the herein costs, funding in the amount of FORTY TWO THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED FIVE DOLLARS ($42,405) was set aside to Account No. 101.145.5533, Capital Projects Engineering, in the 2000 Appropriations.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
