TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH MS CONSULTANTS, INC., FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM REMODELING, INVENTORY AND MANAGEMENT.

WHEREAS, the Water Distribution System Remodeling needs to be updated and proposal has been received with the modification to gather the data; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that we accept this proposal and proceed; and
WHEREAS, this information is crucial to provide an inventory for GASB-34;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with MS CONSULTANTS, INC., 2221 Schrock Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, for engineering services for Water Distribution System Modeling, Inventory & Management, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FORTY SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($47,500) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations, in Account No. 652.351.5596, Miscellaneous Water Improvement (WSCI), for GIS, and this will serve as part of GIS.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days from date of signature approval by the Mayor.
