TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO SERVICE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF COLUMBUS AND CITY OF GAHANNA FOR SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL SERVICES FOR THE 2014-2015 SEASON.

WHEREAS, Gahanna has been plowing about seven (7) miles of Columbus streets for several years; and
WHEREAS, in the past it has been a simple letter-head agreement, but this year Columbus has gone to a fully executed agreement that requires a signature; and
WHEREAS, a meeting was held between the Service Department and the City of Columbus to review the streets contained within the contract; and
WHEREAS, as a result one more street segment was added that changes the mileage from 7 to 9.7 miles changing the pricing structure from $3,595 to $7,380;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Service Agreement Between the City of Columbus and City of Gahanna for Snow and Ice Removal Services for the 2014-2015 Season; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That the City of Columbus will pay the City of Gahanna $7,380 for said snow and ice removal.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
