WHEREAS, Lee & Associates, Government Grant Specialists, is at the end of their initial agreement with the City; and

 

WHEREAS, Lee & Associates has submitted their renewal contract for this Grant Assistance Service which will include help on the fiber optic project; and

 

WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to move forward as quickly as possible in order to begin work on available grants, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into renewal contract with Lee & Associates, 7652 Sawmill Road, #323, Dublin OH  43016-9296 for Grant Assistance Services.

 

Section 2.  That the amount of THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the general fund to Account Number 101.211.5401, Police, Office Expense for this contract.

 

Section 3.  That ORD-0001-2000, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
