TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN A TRANSFER EXEMPT PERMIT APPLICATION TO AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT FOR LOCAL CANTINA, 101 MILL STREET; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the City has received a Transfer Exempt Permit Application to an Economic Development Project (TREX) for a new restaurant coming to Gahanna, Local Cantina, 101 Mill Street; and
WHEREAS, this application needs to be signed by the City prior to their submission for a liquor permit; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to approve this TREX for Local Cantina so that the business can apply for their liquor permit and open as soon as possible, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to sign the Transfer Exempt Permit Application to an Economic Development Project, for Local Cantina, 101 Mill Street, Gahanna, Ohio; said application attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
