A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH PARKS & REC PARTNERS, LLC FOR CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE ACADEMY PARK RENOVATION PROJECT
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna is undertaking the Academy Park Renovation Project, which includes the redesign and replacement of the playground and surfacing; replacement and expansion of the shelter house, restroom facilities, concessions window, and storage; trailhead features serving the Mountain Bike Trail and Big Walnut Trail; parking lot improvements; stormwater infrastructure; and improvements to surrounding trails and sidewalks for ADA compliance; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department conducted a Request for Proposals process to identify a qualified firm to provide construction administration and construction inspection services for the implementation of the Academy Park Renovation Project; and
WHEREAS, seven firms submitted proposals, which a departmental selection team evaluated and scored based on established criteria; and
WHEREAS, through the competitive selection process, Parks & Rec Partners, LLC was selected to provide the requested construction administration and construction inspection services; and
WHEREAS, the agreement amount is $499,750, with an additional ten percent contingency of $49,975 for unexpected expenses, for a total amount not to exceed $549,975; and
WHEREAS, funds for these services have been appropriated in Account No. 32506550.5505.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Parks & Rec Partners, LLC, 5184 Hialeah Ct., Columbus, Ohio 43221, in substantially the same form as attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and incorporated herein, for construction administration and construction inspection services for the Academy Park Renovation Project, in an amount of $499,750, pl...
