TITLE

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS - State Law Enforcement Trust Fund (2250) for Contract Services and Capital Equipment

BODY

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to state court actions in the Franklin County Common Pleas Court, cases 23-CR-04205 and 23-CR-1505, the Division of Police received entries of forfeiture totaling $99,844; and

 

WHEREAS, the Division must comply with asset forfeiture guidelines, equitable sharing and expenditure rules; and

 

WHEREAS, forfeiture proceeds will be used as part of the following planned uses: 1) equitable sharing percentage and publication fees to Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office ($25,010), 2) replacement purchase of two unmanned aerial systems ($25,000), and 3) purchase of contract services for network design of the multi-agency law enforcement CAD/RMS solution ($50,000).

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That funding in the amount of one hundred thousand ten dollars ($100,010) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the State Law Enforcement Trust Fund (2250) as follows:

 

225.10.000.5205 - SLETF Contract Services: $75,010

225.10.000.5510 - SLETF Capital Equipment: $25,000

 

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
