Title

TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH TRICOR LTD., FOR ENGINEERING TO REMOVE GASOLINE TANKS AT CHERRYBOTTOM ROAD AND U. S. ROUTE NO. 62, IMPROVEMENT NO. 653; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

Body

WHEREAS, as an integral part of the approved and authorized project of the U. S. Route No. 62 intersections projects, it became necessary to remove the Certified gasoline station at the intersection of Cherrybottom Road and U.S. Route No. 62; and

 

WHEREAS, proposal for this specialized work has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to move forward with this work in order to meet the scheduling projected for the various intersections along U. S. Route No. 62, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with TRICAR LTD., 6237 Wynford Drive, Dublin Ohio 43016, for engineering, bidding, and construction documents and other necessary consulting services for the removal of the gasoline tanks at the Certified Oil Site located at Cherrybottom Road and U.S. Route No. 62, Improvement No. 653, in accordance with letter proposal dated February 23, 1998, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, and in accordance with City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That Twenty-one Thousand Dollars ($21,000)was set aside in the 1998 Appropriations to Account No. 101.145.5541, and is hereby authorized to be use for this project.

 

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
