TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE OHIO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY DIRECTOR'S FINDINGS AND ORDERS REGARDING SANITARY SEWER EVALUATION AND MAINTENANCE.

WHEREAS, for several years satellite communities in Central Ohio have been working together with the EPA to formally address responsibilities with regard to maintenance of their sanitary sewer infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, Gahanna representatives, including the City Attorney have been actively involved in the process and have met with the EPA to work out an agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign the Environmental Protection Agency Director's Findings and Orders for sanitary sewer evaluation and maintenance; Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
