TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GGC ENGINEERS, INC., FOR THE BOUNDARY SURVEY TO ACQUIRE PROPERTIES ON PRICE ROAD; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $1,700 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, letter proposal for boundary survey, dated February 28, 2000, has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible date in order that purchase of this property may proceed in an orderly manner, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with GGC ENGINEERS, INC., 104 Mill Street, Gahanna, Ohio, for professional survey services to perform a boundary survey for additional tracts located on Price Road adjacent to the two tracts previously quoted, in accordance with proposal attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ($1,700) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the General Fund to ACCOUNT NO. 101.145.5445, ENGINEERING ASSISTANCE, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 200001, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
