TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH SHAMROCK COMPANIES, FOR 2003 INCOME TAX FORMS; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, bids were opened October 24, 2003, and the lowest, most responsive, and responsible, bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service;
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed to obtain the forms before the end of the year, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with SHAMROCK COMPANIES, 250 EAST WILSON BRIDGE ROAD, WORTHINGTON, OHIO 43085, for 2003 income tax forms for the Tax Division of the City of Gahanna, in accordance with bid and City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FORTY THREE DOLLARS ($15,643) was set aside in the 2003 Appropriations in Account No. 101.132.5301, Tax Office Supplies, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
