TO AMEND CONTRACT WITH EMH&T TO ALLOW CONTINUING SERVICES UNDER CONTRACT AUTHORIZED BY ORD-0131-2002 FOR PHASE 1 STORM SYSTEM INFRASTRUCTURE DATA DEVELOPMENT MODEL INFORMATION; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $17,000 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the stormwater modeling project is over budget and the impervious area study is under budget; and
WHEREAS, the excess funds appropriated for the impervious area study are being released back to the stormwater fund making funds available to complete the stormwater modeling project; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has requested that we authorize the increase in scope of the stormwater modeling project; and
WHEREAS, the modeling project is prone to scope increase as it is a moving target and additions to the system add to the modeling and mapping;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amended contract with EMH&T for additional work required to complete the stormwater modeling project due to additional mapping requests.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVENTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($17,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the Stormwater Fund to Account No. 230.350.5447, Misc. Storm, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2003 passed January 2, 2003, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
