WHEREAS, the Information Technology Department needs equipment for storage into a unified network appliance for additional data storage, expendability, increased uptime for mission critical data, redundancy, virtual machine storage, and disaster recovery purposes; and
WHEREAS, Information Technology is recommending we proceed with purchase of Compellent Storage Area Network (SAN) equipment to address the needs of the department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of EIGHTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($82,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated form the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.348.5512, IT Capital Equipment.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2008, passed January 2, 2008, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
