TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH KEY CHRYSLER FOR THE PURCHASE OF THREE POLICE CRUISERS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HAMILTON MULTI-AGENCY CO-OPERATIVE PURCHASE AGREEMENT ITB 008-14/JW AND ITB 043-13/JW; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $86,000.

WHEREAS, three police cruisers are needed for replacement due to high mileage and wear; and
WHEREAS, the City can purchase three 2014 Dodge Charger Police Specials in accordance with the terms of the Hamilton County Multi-Agency Co-operative purchase agreement ITB 008-14/JW and ITB 043-13/JW; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police and Director of Public Service have recommended we proceed with Key Chrysler;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Purchase Agreement with KEY CHRYSLER, 2020 N. Detroit Street, Xenia, OH 45385, for the purchase of three police cruisers; quote attached as Exhibit A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of EIGHTY-SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($86,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Federal Law Enforcement Trust Fund, to Account No. 235.211.5512, Federal Law Enforcement Trust, Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2014, passed January 2, 2014, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
