SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Sewer System Capital Improvement/Capacity Charges

WHEREAS, in conjunction with the West Gahanna Sanitary Sewer improvements an assessment was set up to allow property owners to spread out their sanitary sewer connection fees over twenty (20) years; and
WHEREAS, one of the fees that each property owner owes prior to connection is a capacity fee and we are required to forward funds directly to the City of Columbus per our sanitary sewer contract; and
WHEREAS, because we are allowing property owners to pay via assessment, the City needs to front a portion of the capacity fees to the City of Columbus;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of ONE HUNDRED ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTEEN DOLLARS ($101,213) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the SSCI Fund to Account No. 662.361.5474, Sewer System Capital Improvement/Capacity Charges to cover the herein costs.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2011, passed January 3, 2011, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
