TITLE
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORD-0088-2023 ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES FOR PERSONNEL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2024, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2024, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BODY
WHEREAS, the City Council recommends additional changes to the 2024 Salary Ordinance passed as ORD-0088-2023; and
WHEREAS, these amendments include the Clerk of Council at pay grade C21 and Deputy Clerk of Council at pay grade C16; and
WHEREAS, no supplemental appropriations are needed at this time; and
WHEREAS, the Council recommends passage of the Ordinance as an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of public peace, safety, health, and welfare of the City in order to maintain continuity of staffing in Council Office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby adopts the 2024 Salary Ordinance as amended and enacted as described in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble, this Ordinance is declared an emergency, which shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
