TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED OF A CITY OWNED PARCEL ON NORTH HAMILTON ROAD IN ORDER TO MEET FEDERAL REQUIREMENTS TO HAVE PORTIONS CONVERTED TO THE RIGHT-OF-WAY BY DEEDING THEM TO THE COUNTY AS PART OF THE HAMILTON ROAD CENTRAL PROJECT; IMPROVEMENT NO. ST 785.

WHEREAS, with the widening of North Hamilton Road from Carpenter Road to Johnstown Road there are four parcels that are City owned that must be converted to the right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, by Federal Requirements the parcels must be converted to the right-of-way by deeding them to the County; and
WHEREAS, parcel number 025-003976, is land that is the Rocky Fork stream corridor on the east side of Hamilton Road, part of a 6.592 acre property of which a 0.444 acre triangular portion is required for the roadway expansion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed of a City owned parcel on North Hamilton Road in order to meet Federal Requirements to have portions converted to the right-of-way by deeding to the County; parcel number 025-003976 for a 0.444 acre parcel required for the roadway expansion.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
