TO HONOR AND COMMEND THE CITY OF GAHANNA POLICE BATTLE OF THE BADGES TEAM
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna Police Battle of the Badges Team participated in the fourth Annual battle; and
WHEREAS, this is the third year that Gahanna has competed, this year against 22 teams; and
WHEREAS, Gahanna placed second overall in the competition with all members of the team placing in the top three in all of the events they participated in and received 7 total plaques; and
WHEREAS, Officer Ethan Moffitt placed first in the 1.5 mile run; and
WHEREAS, Detective Carl Schmueckle placed second in the bench press with 330 lbs. and first in the leg press 1,200 lbs.; and
WHEREAS, Lt. Larry Rinehart placed third in Overall Administrator; and
WHEREAS, Lt. Tom Basso placed second in Overall Administrator, and second in leg press with 1,450 lbs.; and
WHEREAS, these officers are congratulated for their perseverance and dedication and are exemplary examples of the fine officers of the City of Gahanna Police Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, do hereby honor and commend the City of Gahanna, Police Battle of the Badges team for their success in the Fourth Annual Battle of the Badges.
Section 2. That this resolution shall go into effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
