WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council and the Mayor to continue to increase our communication and interaction with our residential and business communities; and
WHEREAS, the addition of an intern in the Public Information division of the Mayor's office would allow the Public Information Manager to focus on more strategic plans and initiatives rather than performing routine tactical work; and
WHEREAS, funding would be needed to be able to provide for this intern position;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of THIRTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($13,500) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to the following accounts:
101.124.5111, Public Information, PT Admin Hourly $11,544
101.124.5131, Public Information, PERS 1,616
101.124.5132, Public Information, Workers Comp. 173
101.124.5138, Public Information, Medicare 167
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
