TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO EASEMENT AND RIGHT OF WAY AGREEMENT WITH AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY FOR CITY OWNED LAND KNOWN AS OPEN SPACE "A" AND RESERVE "A" OF STONEGATE SUBDIVISION, OLDE RIDENOUR ROAD; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, American Electric Power Company needs to extend electric services to the Stonegate subdivision and easements are needed to complete this process; and
WHEREAS, the lines shall be constructed within the limits set forth in the attachments to this legislation; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that these easements be entered into as quickly as possible to allow construction of homes in this subdivision; and all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Easement and Right of Way Agreement with American Electric Power Company for property located on Open Space "A" and Reserve "A" of the Stonegate subdivision; said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
