TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH TRICAR, LTD., FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EVALUATION FOR HELMAN PROPERTY ON PRICE ROAD; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $2,980 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, letter proposal for environmental evaluation services, dated March 7, 2000, has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible date in order that purchase of this property may proceed in an orderly manner, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with TRICAR LTC., 6237 Wynford Drive, Dublin, Ohio 43016, for environmental evaluation services for the Helman property on Price Road, in accordance with proposal attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWO THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED EIGHTY DOLLARS ($2,980) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the General Fund to ACCOUNT NO. 101.145.5445, ENGINEERING ASSISTANCE, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 200001, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
