title
SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - 2015 Sanitary Sewer Processing Charges from the City of Columbus.
body
WHEREAS, estimating the amount of water and/or sanitary sewer processing that will be needed each year is not an exact science; and
WHEREAS, this year we may find ourselves up to $500,000 short when paying our fourth quarter, 2015 bill to the City of Columbus; and
WHEREAS, the Sanitary Fund is strictly made up of customer payments related to sanitary sewer charges, therefore this expense is a pass-thru where we receive the money from the customer prior to paying the City of Columbus; and
WHEREAS, to move these funds to the appropriate accounts requires supplemental appropriations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the Sanitary Sewer Fund to Account No. 661360.5269 - Sewer Rental.
Section 2. That ORD-0163-2014, passed December 15, 2014, is hereby amended to reflect these supplemental appropriations.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
