AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO ADDENDUM TO EXTEND SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR A THREE-YEAR PERIOD WITH SEDGWICK CLAIMS MANAGEMENT SERVICES, INC., AS THE PROVIDER FOR THIRD-PARTY ADMINISTRATION SERVICES FOR THE SELF-INSURED WORKERS COMPENSATION PROGRAM AND STATE FUND CLAIMS.

WHEREAS, Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc. is a third-party administrator (TPA) for the City’s workers compensation claims; and
WHEREAS, the Administration is recommending the City extend the agreement for a period of three years, to December 31, 2024, in order to continue utilizing said services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Addendum to Extend Service Agreement for an Additional Period of three years, with Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., for third-party administration of the City self-insured workers compensation program and state fund claims; said Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
