TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH NOVINITY, INC. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MAGAZINE.

WHEREAS, the Department of Development has recommended that we enter into a contract with Novinity, Inc. Marketing Communications for professional services in the development of a magazine (Phase II) highlighting all the City has to offer its residents, businesses, prospective businesses, and community organizations; and
WHEREAS, the scope of Phase II will include art direction, layout, production, proofs, and print coordination; and
WHEREAS, this contract is not exceed $5,500 and funds are available in the 2003 appropriations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with NOVINITY, INC. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, 523 PARK STREET, COLUMBUS, OH 43215, for design and production of a magazine, in accordance with contract attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding the amount of FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($5,500) has been set aside to Account No. 101.343.5274, Promotions, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
