WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna recently transitioned daily banking services to Huntington Bank; and
 
WHEREAS, it is necessary to designate the Director of Finance and the Deputy Director of Finance as Program Administrators for the City of Gahanna Purchase Card Program; and
 
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward immediately in order to carry-out routine operating expenditures and to reduce transaction costs, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That this Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute a Commercial Card Account Agreement with Huntington National Bank and designate the Director of Finance and the Deputy Director of Finance as the Program Administrators for the City of Gahanna Purchase Card Program; said Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
 
Section 2.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, this Ordinance is declared emergency legislation and will be in full force and effect upon passage by Council and the signature of approval by the Mayor.
