TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO MODIFIED SCOPE OF SERVICES WITH STILSON CONSULTING GROUP FOR CREEKSIDE DEVELOPMENT-PHASE II; ORIGINAL CONTRACT APPROVED BY ORD-0116-2001; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, ORD-0116-2001 approved a contract with Stilson Consulting Group for Creekside Development; and
WHEREAS, letter modification for the scope of design services, dated March 7, 2002, has been received from STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to proceed with this modified contract in order to continue the scope of services in a timely fashion and in order to begin construction this season, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into modified contract with STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 7610 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43235, for the scope of design services on Creekside Development, Phase II, Improvement No. 788, said services to be in accordance with letter modification for the scope of design services, dated March 7, 2002, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That no additional funding over that approved in ORD-0116-2001 is needed for this revision to the scope of services.
Section 3. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
