TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH GOLDEN TOUCH CAR AND VAN WASH, INC., FOR A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS STARTING JANUARY 1, 2009 AND CONTINUING THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2010, WITH AN OPTION TO RENEW FOR AN ADDITIONAL YEAR, FOR WASHING AND CLEANING OF OFFICIAL CITY VEHICLES

WHEREAS, the City is in need of a car wash service for City vehicles, and Golden Touch Car and Van Wash has agreed to utilize unrestricted tunnel wash services for all official City of Gahanna vehicles; and

 

WHEREAS, the Golden Touch Car and Van Wash will also vacuum mats and carpets, dust dash and consoles, and clean windows;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO;

 

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Golden Touch Car and Van Wash, Inc., 259 Granville Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for the period of two years with an option to renew for an additional year, for washing and cleaning of official City of Gahanna vehicles, said contract attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($11,000) will be set aside in the 2009 appropriations and should be included in future appropriations over the term of the contract to Account No. 101.211.5259, Cruiser Washing, Police, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
