A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR THE EASTLAND VOCATIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT 0.8-MILL CONTINUING OPERATING LEVY{Resolution No. 1-98}
Body
WHEREAS, Eastland Vocational School District, including Eastland Career Center in Groveport, Fairfield Career Center in Carroll, and satellites, provides education and training to youth and adults in our community; and
WHEREAS, quality services such as those provided by the Eastland district are vital to our community's well being and future; and
WHEREAS, proper funding is necessary to provide a quality education for young people who are our future workers, taxpayers, homeowners, and community and business leaders; and
WHEREAS, Eastland district needs public financial support to continue providing quality services and eduction;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration support the Eastland Vocational School District's 0.8 mill levy for current operating expenses to meet the fiscal needs of its centers and students.
Section 2. That this Council and Administration urge voters to vote for this issue at the polls in the February 1998 election.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
