TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE GAHANNA CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU (CVB) FOR THE YEARS 2024-2028 FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS OF THE OHIO HERB CENTER (OHC)
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna desires to extend its 2021-2023 agreement with the Gahanna Convention & Visitors Bureau for continuing the transfer of full responsibility to the CVB for all aspects of management and operations of the OHC, in order to increase the patronage and business of tourists into the City for the benefit of the citizens of the City and the business community, and specifically for the City’s downtown area, in accordance with Gahanna City Code Section 165.02(d); and
WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement begins on January 1, 2024 and extends up to and including December 31, 2028.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with the Gahanna Convention & Visitors Bureau, 110 Mill Street Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for continued management and operations of the Ohio Herb Center; said Agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
