TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO PURCHASE A 2006 SEWER VAC TRUCK; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $213,096.

WHEREAS, the City's current sewer vac truck is a 1997 model and is scheduled for replacement in 2007; and
WHEREAS, the 2007 model could cost as much as $50,000 more than the 2006 model; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service is recommending that the City purchase the 2006 model in order to save significant costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to purchase a 2006 Sewer Vac Truck from Dreier & Maller, Inc., 6508 Taylor Road SW, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, 43068.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWO HUNDRED THIRTEEN THOUSAND NINETY SIX DOLLARS ($213,096) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the Sewer Fund, to Account No. 661.360.5512, Public Service, Sewer Captial Equipment to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2006, passed January 2, 2006, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council, and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
