SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Network Operations

WHEREAS, the Director of Network Operations has pinpointed a need for Web Filtering and Firewall Software to block access to inappropriate websites and to protect the network from intrusion; and
WHEREAS, the existing software had compatibility issues with Windows 2000 and is very time intensive to update; and
WHEREAS, the new software will be automatically updated daily for all users without requiring individual installations on each workstation for each update;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($3,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered unappropriated balance in the general fund to Account Number 101.348.5511, Network, Capital.
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
