WHEREAS, the Codified Ordinances of Gahanna requires that the Gahanna Land Use Plan be updated every five years; and the Year 2001 is the year for this update; and
WHEREAS, this update will include an assessment of the current land uses and development limitations/potential, and an evaluation of the environemental setting, transportation systems, and existing plans and policies; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Development has recommended we move forward with the letter proposal from Burns, Bertsch & Harris, Inc. to nclude components for the Land Use Plan Update, a Territorial Expansion Analysis and a Development Capacity model;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with BURNS, BERTSCH & HARRIS, INC., 1460 West Lane Avenue, Columbus OH 43221, in accordance with Scope of Services, Work Program which is attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding for this work in the amount of $15,000 was set aside in the 2001 Appropriations to Account No. 101.343.5253, Development Planning.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
