TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PETITION THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, OHIO, FOR A CHANGE IN TOWNSHIP LINES IN ORDER TO MAKE THEM IDENTICAL WITH THE MUNICIPAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, the major portion of the City of Gahanna is in Mifflin Township; and
WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration have determined that it is in the best interests of the City of Gahanna and its residents to have all of said City within the limits of Mifflin Township; and
WHEREAS, the property to be petitioned for change began the annexation process to the City of Gahanna prior to March 28, 2002, the date the County Commissioners have determined is the effective date of the new annexation law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That it is necessary and in the best interest of the City of Gahanna and its residents to change that portion of Jefferson Township within the municipal limits of the City of Gahanna in order to make the Mifflin Township line identical, in part, with the municipal limits of the City of Gahanna, to include annexations to the City of Gahanna from Jefferson Township, said annexations more particularly described as follows:

EXHIBIT 2 - Acceptance of 4.1+/- acres, requested by the City of Gahanna, et al. (Ordinance No. 990554)
EXHIBIT 3 - Acceptance of 3.7+/- acres, requested by Robert L. Roshon, et al. (Ordinance No. 990612)
EXHIBIT 4 - Acceptance of 2.3+/- acres, requested by the City of Gahanna. (ORD-0007-2000)
EXHIBIT 5 - Acceptance of 12.4+/- acres, requested by the City of Gahanna. (ORD-0018-2000)
