SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - ATTORNEY GENERAL POLICE OFFICER TRAINING ACCOUNT.
BODY
WHEREAS, the Attorney General is required under Ohio Revised Code to pay reimbursements to the Gahanna Division of Police for continual professional training for peace officers; and
WHEREAS, these reimbursements are unencumbered and unappropriated and the Gahanna Division of Police wishes to use these funds for training to transition our current field training officer program to a problem-solving based program that will best fit their future growth and mission; and
WHEREAS, these funds will also build upon the training presented by Gordon Graham in 2017 for the City of Gahanna employees, members of the Division, Mifflin Township as well as other partner agencies; and
WHEREAS, to move the funds to the appropriate account requires a supplemental appropriation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the amount of TWENTY-TWO THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($22,124) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the AG Police Office Training Fund to Account No. 237-211-5279, AG Police Officer Training Fund, to cover the herein costs.
Section 2. That ORD-0102-2017, passed December 18, 2017, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
