TO ACCEPT THE DONATION OF $6,000 FROM THE GAHANNA JEFFERSON AREA FUND; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE SAID DONATIONS TO PARKS FUNDS.

WHEREAS, a generous donation has been received from the Gahanna Jefferson Area Fund for use by the Gahanna Parks & Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, funds have been awarded to the Senior Center for the purchase of a new sound system and to the Recreation Division for the purpose of providing a scholarship program for children unable to afford participation in the summer day camp program offered at Camp Friendship;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration, on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna do hereby accept the generous donation of the Gahanna Jefferson Area Fund, and do specify the funds for the Parks & Recreation Department.
Section 2. That ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the General Fund to Account No. 101.434.5511, Senior Services, Capital.
Section 3. That FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance of the Parks and Recreation Special Donations Fund to Account No. 227.432.5429, Parks, Special Donations.
Section 4. That ORD-0001-2006, passed January 2, 2006, is hereby amended to reflect these supplemental appropriations.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
