TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH CLASS ACTS COLUMBUS, INC., TO PROVIDE ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE 2009 GAHANNA FREEDOM FESTIVAL.

WHEREAS, the Parks & Recreation Department is planning an extraordinary day of programming for the 2009 July 4th Freedom Festival; and
WHEREAS, the department needs to confirm the entertainment at the festival;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with CLASS ACTS OF COLUMBUS, Inc., 245 Mt. Vernon Avenue #100, Columbus Ohio 43215, to obtain entertainment for the 2009 Gahanna Freedom Festival; contract attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE ($4,125) was appropriated to Account No. 101.432.5415, Recreation, Fourth of July, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($4,125) will be taken from funds to be appropriated in the 2009 Appropriations.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
