TITLE
A RESOLUTION RATIFYING CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 2 WITH POD DESIGN FOR THE ACADEMY PARK RENOVATION PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 3
BODY
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna is undertaking the Academy Park Renovation Project, which includes improvements to the playground, shelter house, trailhead, parking lot, stormwater infrastructure, trails, and sidewalks; and
WHEREAS, following a Request for Proposals process conducted in 2024, POD Design was selected to provide planning and design services for the project; and
WHEREAS, on November 18, 2024, Council authorized Contract Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement with POD Design via ORD-0066-2024; and
WHEREAS, on September 3, 2025, the Mayor authorized and executed Contract Amendment No. 2 with POD Design, and Council now desires to ratify and confirm that authorization and execution; and
WHEREAS, following Contract Amendment No. 2, the total amount of the professional services agreement is Three Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($327,760.00); and
WHEREAS, additional modifications to the scope of services are necessary to support the project, including reductions to Construction Administration Services and the addition of other professional services; and
WHEREAS, the Administration has determined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the City to enter into Contract Amendment No. 3 with POD Design in the amount of Forty-Four Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($44,445.00), increasing the total contract amount to an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Seventy-Two Thousand Two Hundred Five Dollars ($372,205.00); and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds have already been appropriated and are available within Account No. 32506550.5505 for this purpose, and no supplemental appropriation is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
