WHEREAS, Chief of Police Dennis Murphy authorized printing that was supposed to be reimbursed by the Attorney General's office and that funding did not come through in a timely manner and the invoice must be paid; and

 

WHEREAS, the work was done prior to funds being authorized and the invoice is outstanding and past due and should be paid as quickly as possible, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the amount of One Thousand Seven Hundred Forty Eight Dollars ($1,748) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the Law Enforcement Trust Fund to Account No. 225.211.5411.

 

Section 2.  That ORD-0001-2001, passed January 2, 2001 is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 3.  Waiver of second reading, as requested by the administration, is hereby authorized.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by Mayor.
