TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH PIZZUTI FOR CONSTRUCTION DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE EASTGATE INDUSTRIAL CENTER; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $75,000 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AND EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, construction design and engineering services are required in order to finalize costs associated with the infrastructure and public improvements to be made to the property to be known as Eastgate Industrial Center; and
WHEREAS, the costs of the herein services shall be reimbursed from the Tax Increment Financing Revenues and shall be a part of the final appropriation for full services with Pizzuti under the Infrastructure Development Agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable to proceed with the herein services at the earliest possible date for the efficient and timely construction of this commercial project and for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with PIZZUTI, 250 EAST BROAD STREET, COLUMBUS, OHIO 43215, for design and engineering services for the Construction of Public Infrastructure for Eastgate Industrial Center, said Agreement to be in accordance with services outlined in Pizzuti letter, dated March 23, 1999, attached to this ordinance as EHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That the amount of SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($75,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from GENERAL FUND to Account No. 101.343.5511, Capital Projects, Development, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
