TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH FRANKLIN SOIL AND WATER DISTRICT FOR TECHNICAL EXPERTISE RELATING TO SOILS, DRAINAGE, EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL.

Body

WHEREAS, Franklin Soil and Water  has great expertise in urban conservation and drainage issues; and

 

WHEREAS, they provide necessary consulting services on drainage and sediment control issues, help with the EPA requirements, and development construction sites in the City; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that we enter into contract with Franklin Soil and Water Conservation;  

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with FRANKLIN SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT, 1660 Gateway Circle, Suite 2, Grove City, Ohio 43123, for technical expertise relating to soils, drainage, erosion and sediment control as more specifically spelled out in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance.

 

Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($7,000) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations in Account No. 101.145.5445, Engineer Assistance, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
