AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL AND REPLACE PART 1 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, CHAPTER 135 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND ENGINEERING, SECTIONS 135.03 TO 135.08 AND REPLACE WITH PART 1 ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, CHAPTER 133 DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, SECTION 133.02, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA.

WHEREAS, the administration is requesting legislation that repeals and replaces existing code sections under Chapter 135, Department of Public Service and Engineering code sections 135.03, Purchasing Agent and Procedures; 135.04, Purchasing Requirements; 135.05, Bid Opening and Acceptance; 135.06, Council Action; 135.07, Contract Execution and Delegation by Mayor; and 135.08, Prohibited Bidder; and
WHEREAS, new code section 133.02, Purchasing Procedures will replace the existing code sections to establish updated purchasing policies under Chapter 133, Department of Finance to align procedures with current operations.
NOW THEREORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. Chapter 135 Department of Public Service and Engineering code sections 135.03 to 135.08 are hereby repealed.
Section 2. New Chapter 133 Department of Finance code section 133.02 - Purchasing Procedures shall replace Chapter 135 Department of Public Service code sections 135.03 to 135.08.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
