TO HONOR AND COMMEND CHERYL J. MARTINEZ

WHEREAS, CHERYL J. MARTINEZ, had a great desire to serve the community of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, when the opportunity arose, CHERYL J. MARTINEZ, agreed to serve on the Gahanna Civil Service Commission; and
WHEREAS, CHERYL J. MARTINEZ, served on the Civil Service Commission for 4 and 1/2 years from July of 1998 thru December of 2002; and
WHEREAS, CHERYL J. MARTINEZ dedicated countless hours to the intricate runnings of the Civil Service Commission attending meetings and proctoring tests, overseeing police physical fitness tests, and helping to establish procedures which have been proven to be both valid and efficient; and
WHEREAS, CHERYL J. MARTINEZ, served as an exemplary example of the volunteers that the City of Gahanna is blessed to have; and
WHEREAS, CHERYL J. MARTINEZ, will be missed by those who had the pleasure of serving with her;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration along with the citizens of Gahanna do hereby honor and commend CHERYL J. MARTINEZ for her dedicated service on the Gahanna Civil Service Commission, and wish her well in all of her future endeavors, knowing that she will continue to support the City of Gahanna, in any way she can.
Section 2. That this resolution is in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
