TO HONOR AND COMMEND GEORGE SCHNELL ON ACHIEVEMENT OF THE RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT

WHEREAS, GEORGE SCHNELL, is a member of Troop 898 in the Tri-Creek District, Simon Kenton Council, of the Boy Scouts of America; and
WHEREAS, GEORGE SCHNELL, became a Tiger Scout in 1992, a Cub Scout in 1993, Webelos Scout in 1995, and crossed-over to Boy Scouts in April 1997; and
WHEREAS, GEORGE SCHNELL, earned the rank of Tenderfoot in 1997, 2nd Class and 1st Class in 1998, along with the rank of Star, and earned the Life rank in 1999; and
WHEREAS, as his service project GEORGE SCHNELL built onto the existing reading garden at Highpoint Elementary School, coordinating the laying of bricks, remulching, planting flowers and shrubs, and laying a plaque; and
WHEREAS, GEORGE SCHNELL, serves as an exemplary standard for the youth of our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration on behalf of the citizens of Gahanna, do hereby honor and commend GEORGE SCHNELL on the attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout.
Section 2. That GEORGE SCHNELL is given the heartfelt thanks of the community for being a good citizen and is wished success in all future endeavors.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
