TO ADOPT THE CREEKSIDE TRAILWAY LOOP STUDY, DATED NOVEMBER, 1999, AS PREPARED BY TRICAR LTD.

WHEREAS, efforts are being made to encourage a market-driven revitalization of the Olde Gahanna historical district; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary for the success of the Creekside, a stream-side trailway and waterfall feature segment of this area, to improve and enhance the public value and marketability of the area and to proceed to connect the area to develop destination points; and
WHEREAS, the Creekside Trailway Loop Study was commissioned by the City and has been presented and is recommended by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the Creekside Trailway Loop Study was referred by this Council to Planning Commission for review and recommendation; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission, on March 22, 2000, after considerable public input and review has recommended adoption of the Creekside Trailway Loop Study;
WHEREAS, it is desirable to proceed to adopt this study in order that plans are in place for potential grant money as they become available this year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby accepts and adopts the CREEKSIDE TRAILWAY LOOP STUDY, NOVEMBER, 1999, PREPARED BY TRICAR, LTD, said study attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and thirty days from date of signature approval by the Mayor.
