TO VACATE A PORTION OF TECHNOLOGY DRIVE AND TO DEDICATE A NEW CUL DE SAC BULB FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DEDICATED TECHNOLOGY DRIVE.
Body
WHEREAS, a request has been made by Columbus COnsulting Company for the vacation of a portion of Technology Drive, formerly known as David Taylor Road, in The Industrial Zone and that a development plan is awaiting this approval; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed this request and at their regular meeting held on April 8, 1998 recommended to Council that a portion of Technology Drive be vacated; and
WHEREAS, the Planning COmmission also recommended the dedication of new right of way to create a cul de sac bulb; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has stated that this road right of way is not needed for utility purposes, except for a storm sewer which will be dedicated by separate ordinance when deed of easement is completed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That a portion of Technology Drive, formerly known as David Taylor Road, is hereby vacated, said portion of roadway to be vacated more particularly described in EXHIBIT A, attached to this ordinance and made a part herein.
Section 2. That a cul de sac bulb is hereby dedicated, said bulb more particularly described in EXHIBIT B, attached to this ordinance and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
